When the Great Divide Campfire Series was first introduced, people noticed. While most guitars in its price range are fully made of laminates, the Campfire models boast solid spruce or solid cedar tops for a rich, distinctive sound. With a sharp increase in popularity and demand, Great Divide has announced an expansion of the Campfire Series to include five new models:  two dreadnoughts and one each of a jumbo, parlor, and student (three-quarter size concert body) style.

"The inspiration for this series came from the fact that there's nothing more peaceful than entertaining friends as they gather round the campfire," reflected Tom Bedell, designer and creator of Great Divide Guitars, a division of Two Old Hippies. "These are the moments we'll always remember so we wanted to create a guitar to help capture and inspire those moments."
 
Other features of the Campfire models include a mahogany neck, laminated sapele back and sides, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge. All come in natural gloss finishes.
